Over 150 staff members. Two sites. One important cause.

This week, for the first time, we organised a blood donation drive in collaboration with the German Red Cross (DRK) Blood Donation Service at our sites.

Over 100 staff members in Tübingen and another 50 in Rangendingen have signed up to donate blood. For this occasion, temporary blood donation centres were set up on site. 

Why is this important?

In Germany, about 15.000 units of blood are needed every day. For emergencies, surgeries and the care of chronically ill patients. And there is still no way to artificially produce blood to this day. Supply therefore depends on people who donate regularly. 

The large participation shows how many people are willing to contribute when the opportunity is easily accessible.
